Description
All Surface Rug Underlay is exactly that: all-surface. Uniquely designed as a single solution for your knotted, handloom, tufted, or machine-made rug, our underlay will secure your rug in place, whether it’s laid on carpet or concrete, using its uniquely formulated water-based resin, effectively linking your rug to your floor without leaving a residue or causing damage. A powerful solution with no downside!
Reversible
Our reversible underlay works well on both hard flooring and carpets. Remember: GREY side up for carpets, BLACK side up for hard floors.
Distinctive construction
The polyester fibres in our All Surface Underlay are coated with a unique, non-aggressive resin system that will not stain or cause any damage to your floors but will effectively hold your rug securely in place.
Locked in place
Our All Surface Rug Underay is lightly coated with a water-based resin that’s specifically designed to ensure maximum hold with zero damage to your flooring or rug, unlike other oil-based pads.
Prevents curling corners
Handmade rugs can sometimes begin to curl in the corners or even start to ripple. This can easily be rectified with the All Surface Rug Underlay thanks to the gentle but effective resin that coats the fibres of the rug pad, effectively creating a link between the floor and your rug.
Absolutely odourless
We know that rug pads tend to have a synthetic smell to them, which is usually caused by oil-based adhesives. Since the All Surface Rug Underlay is oil and adhesive free, there is no smell, which will please you and your pets noses.
Without a quality anti-slip, your rug will inevitably ‘creep’ from its original position due to the repetitive motion from walking. As time goes by and without a long-term solution, you could cause permanent creasing or wear marks on your expensive rug, so by installing a good-quality underlay, you introduce a permanent solution for holding your rug in place and keeping it looking as good as when it was first installed.
Read our blog post on why you should always use underlay with your rug.
Give the underlay to your installer; job done! If you don’t have an installer, then…
First, lay your rug in place without the underlay and make sure you’re happy with its position. Once the rug is in situ, mark each corner of the rug with an object or masking tape, and then roll the rug away from the area. You then want to lay the anti-slip flat on the floor, ensuring it’s within the markers, between 2-5cm from them, and then roll the rug back on top, making sure you’re touching your original markers.
Key points:
- Remove the clear film from the underlay before use
- Grey side up for Carpet, Black side up for hard flooring

So happy i came across this. extremely simple to cut and stick into place. Very simple and easy to follow instructions.
Rugs that are firmly fixed prevent them from curling up at the corners.
Excellent for those with young children or the elderly who are concerned about safety because it keeps rugs in place and prevents trips, slips, and falls.

best rug underlay ever! I’ve used it underneath a busy hallway runner, and the rug is held firmly in place and stopped my curled corners and creases.
Also applied to rugs in living rooms as they are regularly walked over and remain still with little curling or movement. You won’t be sorry you bought it.

Best rug underlay I’ve ever used; pricey but well worth it. Works incredibly well on both carpet and hard wood floors; after purchasing one for a new rug, I’ve already replaced all the rugs in my home! The rugs don’t move at all
