Terms and Conditions
Welcome to The Underlay Company
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website (theunderlaycompany.com) and the purchase of our premium underlay and conservation products. By accessing our site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. We recommend reading them carefully before completing any transaction.
- Newsletter and Marketing Communications
By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive promotional emails, updates, and exclusive offers from The Underlay Company. You may opt out of these communications at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of our emails or by contacting our support team directly. We handle all subscriber data in strict accordance with our Privacy Policy. - Orders and Contract Formation
All orders placed through our website are subject to acceptance and availability. When you complete a purchase, a contract is only formed between us once your order has been officially dispatched. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including cases where fraud is suspected, stock is unavailable, or an error has occurred during checkout. - Pricing and Payments
All prices on our website are displayed in GBP (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. While we make every effort to ensure our pricing is entirely accurate, mistakes can occasionally happen. If we discover a blatant pricing error on an item you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option to reconfirm the order at the correct price or cancel it entirely. Payments are securely processed through our third party gateways at the time of purchase.
Please note that due to the manufacturing and cutting processes of flexible textile materials, all product dimensions listed on our website are subject to a standard industry tolerance of plus or minus 2cm. - Delivery and Customs Duties
We offer free express shipping on all orders over £99. Any delivery timeframes quoted on our website are reasonable estimates and do not constitute guaranteed delivery dates. While we make every effort to get your premium underlay products to you swiftly, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by third party couriers or postal services. For any orders dispatched outside of the United Kingdom, the recipient remains solely responsible for any local import duties, taxes, or custom clearance fees. - Returns and Refunds
We take immense pride in the quality of our premium conservation grade rug underlays. However, if you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, you are fully protected under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations. You have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of delivery, provided the products are completely unused, unaltered, and remain in their original packaging. The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the item arrived faulty or damaged. Once your return is received and inspected by our team, your refund will be processed back to your original payment method. - Intellectual Property Rights
All content featured on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, brand names, product photography, layout designs, and software, is the exclusive property of The Underlay Company and is protected by United Kingdom and international copyright laws. You may browse, download, or print pages from this site for your own personal, non commercial use only. To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, The Underlay Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, our website or products. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, nor does it limit our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or personal injury caused by negligence. - Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions, along with any disputes arising from your use of our website or the purchase of our products, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. - Contact Information
